MARATHONS IN VENETO

TREVISO MARATHON 2008

     
Treviso Marathon is the most important marathon in Veneto - Italy; there will be a novelty this year: the courses will be three; the traditional course of Treviso Marathon 2008 which will leave from Vittorio Veneto called “white course” and then there will be the “red course” with start from Ponte di Piave and the “green course” with start from Vidor.   ponte di piave
 
 
 
 
   
These three courses will cross districts of eighteen towns in Province of Treviso, Italy and they will join up at Ponte della Priula in Susegana where this marathon will be celebrate by some military bands and some walk-ons in costume.
The competitors in Treviso Marathon will converge with part of common course from Susegana up to the Treviso where they will find the finish of the marathon at Viale Nino Bixio.

 
     
     
     
The courses will be 42 kilometres long; entrance fee costs 25,00 € and the entries on Treviso Marathon will be closes on March 20th, 2008. It is envisaged the competitors in Treviso Marathon will be 7.000 and this will allow this race to become one of the most important marathons in Veneto and in Italy.
Some events will take place in Treviso Marathon weekend:

  • an exhibition area concerning sport and wellness near Tenni Stadium;
 
 
  • a gastronomic area in Piazza Borsa in old centre of Treviso;
 
 
     
These three areas will be open to the public on March 28th from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; on March 29th and 30th, March from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m..
