FOOD EVENTS IN ITALY

 

Superbe 2008 is a cookery and food event which takes place in Veneto, Italy from April 18th to may 27th, 2008

     
Superbe is one of the most important food events in Italy and particularly in Veneto in spring; this food-and-wine event in Italy, Veneto is dedicated to seasonal herbs dishes and it will take place from April 18th to May 27th, 2008. When nature wakes up, it fills the fields and the tables with its colors and thus Superbe arrives; this historic food-and-wine event in Italy promotes the White Asparagus from Cimadolmo IGP and many seasonal herbs as bruscandoli, the buds of hop, or carletti, the bladder campions, or the asparagues between April and May in the most famous restaurants in Veneto as: Al Bacareto in Mogliano Veneto, Le Calandrine in Cimadolmo, Casa Brusada in Crocetta del Montello, Da Domenico in Grave di Spresiano, Parco Gambrinus in San Polo di Piave, Villa Castagna in Crocetta del Montello and Villa Razzolini Loredan in Asolo.

All these restaurants are placed in Veneto and particularly in province of Treviso. Other food events in Italy besides Superbe are CocoFungo and CocoRadicchio, they both will take place in Veneto.  
 
 
   
The twenty-first edition of this food event in Italy presents two novelties: a homage to Andrea Palladio, a great architect and stage designer, born five hundred years ago; the second novelty is the cooperation between the restaurants taking part in Superbe and the restaurants taking part in Cocofungo, the food event in Italy dedicated to mushrooms dishes in autumn in Veneto.
     
The restaurants in Veneto taking part in Superbe will propose in their list a dish dedicated to Palladio; the dishes will be complex, with many spice, plants dainty sauces with fruit and aromatic plants. The most frequent ingredients will be vegetables, pulse, salad, turkey, beef and veal and then fish and avicultural meat.
     
The Superbe restaurants will be supported by the cooks who take part in Cocofungo every year, also dishes with white asparaguses and self-sown herbs as the buds of hop called bruscandoli or as the bladder campions called carletti or other. Inauguration will take place on April 10th, 2008 and there will be also Hotel Terme's cooks; dates of Superbe will go on at Gambrinus Restaurant on April 18, 2008, at Le Calandrine Restaurant on April, 22nd, at Casa Brusada Restaurant on May 8th, 2008, at Villa Razzolin Loredan on May 15th, 2008, at Villa Castagna on May 20th, 2008, at Da Domenico alla Grave on May 27th, 2008.

This food event in Italy is organized with provincial council of Treviso with the help of Association promoting White Asparagus from Cimadolmo IGP; this event is part of shows paying homage to Andrea Palladio as talks, cultural meetings, symposiums, tours, cookery shows, historic commemoration, tastings, concerts, presentation of food-and-wine produces, and so on.  
   
The 21st edition of Superbe, honoring one of the most known and influential architects of the history, proposes a stimulating comparison among the cooks and everyone of them interprets the cookery in a different style without losing sight of the tradition.
Superbe will offer a light and refined foods also this year, this cookery will be enriched by ingredients making precious risottos, frittatas, roasts and delicious sauces. Everything will satisfy certainly the tastes of participants.
     
The price of Superbe list might range from 55 € to 65 € each, according to the restaurant.
