" La via della seta - the silk route -" at Ca dei Carraresi in Treviso will be the first of four
shows concerning the China on October 22, 2005. |

"La Via della Seta: la nascita dell'Impero Celeste" (the
Silk Route: the birth of the Celestial Empire) gets ready to be
one of the most interesting and newest shows mounted in Treviso
care of Ca dei Carraresi where more two hundred artistic objects'll
be displayed; they come from the museums located just along the
silk route - la via della seta - covered by Marco Polo.

The showed
things will go over the historical period included among 221 B.C.
and 970 A.D, a part of them was been never seen till today because
they were kept in the state Chinese coffers to protect them. |

The
collection displayed in the first of the four shows in Treviso
at Ca dei Carraresi is made up of drawings, bronzes, clothes,
silk fabrics, earthenware, and statues (among these there
are four Xi'an's Warriors, belonging to the Army of Terracotta
Warriors found out in 1974 and considered the world eighth
wonder).
The show'll end in May 14, 2006.
Fondazione Cassamarca, owner of the building, is widening
the rooms inside Ca dei Carraresi and it is renovating the
mountings deeply compared to previous shows hosted here. |

There will be other three shows about
China after " La Via della Seta: la nascita dell'Impero Celeste
" ( the Silk Route: the birth of the Celestial Empire ) in the
next years at Ca dei Carraresi. |

- The Mongols' treasure (Il tesoro dei Mongoli) from 970 to 1368:
in 2007

- The Mings' splendour (Lo splendore dei Ming) from 1368 to 1644:
in 2009
|
|
- The Manchus: the Last Empire (Manciù l'ultimo impero):
from 1644 to 1911: in 2011.
